Everett, Washington nestles between Puget Sound and the majestic Cascade Mountains. Considered part of Seattle’s metropolitan area, Everett is located just thirty miles north of Seattle on Interstate 5. As of the 2000 Census, Everett’s population was 91,488 residents.

Everett also provides several high quality institutes of higher learning. These include Everett Community College, Henry Cogswell College, City University, and Everest Technical Institute. Nearby, in Seattle, higher education facilities include Seattle University, University of Washington, Seattle Pacific University and Washington State University.

Everett’s historic district features a variety of stately old homes including the home of former Senator Henry Jackson. The Boeing Tour Center allows the public to tour the world’s largest building where Boeing assembles the 747, 767 and 777 super jets. Jetty Island is a two-mile long, manufactured island renowned as a bird watchers paradise.
